Hello,
I'm trying to configure a mail server with exim, dovecot. I would love to have it configured for multiple users; without having to create user accounts; nothing in /home.
This server is supposed to host 200 domains with ~100 mailboxes each.
I'd appreciate some pointers on:
- How do I create a user for a domain; avoiding user collisions even if the user is the same. For example, 2 Jimmys what a jimmy@theirowndomain.com; this is:
* jimmy@mydomain.com
* jimmy@someotherdomain.com
- Since I don't want user homes (/home), the mail dirs shouldn't go there. Where should I put them? /var/mailusers/$d/$u ??
- Is there a way to let them change their password?
- Is there a way to force them to change their password?
Any input is valued! Thanks ;=)
