It is taking 2.5+ minutes to get to my login screen. I was reading another post that said to look at the output of dmesg, boot.log, and chkconfig to find the problem. I'm not sure what exactly I should be looking for though. Any help getting my system up faster would be great.

Thanks,
PEZ

1. Which boot level you boot into? are you able to boot into 3 fine?
2 You seem to have too many services. Stop the unnecessary ones

I used mjmwired's fedora 14 service guide (http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-services-f14.html) to disable some services but I am still experiencing a dreadfully long boot time.

How do I figure out where the hang up is?

Thanks!
