Fedora 15 installs but when booted the microcode bug makes the system unusable.
The two packages that fix the problem are kernel-3.0.1-3.fc16 and microcode_ctl-1.17-18.fc16, both in the Fedora 16 stable repository.
If I download these packages can I create a new Fedora 15 DVD incorporating them? Could I copy the DVD to a HD, add the two packages, and burn a new DVD? If this worked at all, what would make the new packages operative rather than older ones?
