Hi all,

I just installed a fresh copy of Fedora LXDE and while I enjoy the OS, it is a little annoying that it takes almost 2 minutes to boot! I have 2 gigs of ram and am running it on my 1000he netbook.

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can speed it up?

Here are my boot results:

Thanks!

Weird, my F15 LXDE startsup in less than 1minute, incl bios startup pw, /home en/decryption and finaly autologin to lxde.
However, i'm having 3gb ram, and a 16gb swap partition.

Have you enabled fast boot in bios?
On the other hand, use the LXsessions to reduced startup programs you dont need.

Hope this helps.

(btw, you can use suspend, which reduces 'startup' time to less than 5 secs)
