Hi, I've got this problem.
Battery in my laptop is almost dead (bios is warning me) and quite bad AC plug meaning that very often power daemon says AC unplugged/plugged. And when this happens battery tray icon usually become a that I don't have battery in although I have. At this moment KDE Plasma freezes. Frozen are: panel, icons in tray (except non-kde apps like Dropbox or gnome network manager), widgets, alt+F2, popup menu on Desktop. Opened apps are running normally (even kde apps except Dolphin) or I can open them in konsole.
It's frozen only for some time like 1 or 2 minutes and then it's ok again.
When I try remove battery it works fine, but I need it in because of bad AC plug.
I also noticed that during the freeze upowerd process uses 80-90% of CPU.
I have HP Probook 4710s with ATI Radeon 4330 and open source radeon driver on Fedora 15 64bit.
Does somebody have any idea how to fix it?
