Hi all,
i have bought a new Toshiba Satellite C640-X4010 laptop.
Its configuration is:
core i5 2410M, 3GB RAM,500 GB HDD,On board intel HD graphics, 14" led display.
I am currently running Fedora 15 in it.
But i want to install fedora 14 in it. I have downloaded both i386 and x86_x64 iso dvds from the official site and also burned them in dvds. The dvd of fedora 14 boots n also the installer starts n goes upto the step "Loading anaconada 14.2 the fedora installer" and after that ,the screen goes black and also the dvd's rotating sound also stops nothing happens for a long time. I am dam sure that there is no problem with my dvd drive or the DVDs.
Please help me..Its very very important for me to install fedora 14(it might seem to be very funny that a person while have already installed fedora 15 why want to step down to 14.... but there r few personal reasons for that.!)

Any help will be highly appreciable..
Thanks in advance.. :)

Just a hunch but try this. Download and burn live cd. Install again with the live cd, but select basic video mode. This is what I had to do with my system.

Verify disks, make sure to successfully burn the live CD and install with the correct video settings.

Guys I have also verified my disks....but unfortunately I didn't found any kind of error in the dvd.....
So to get fedora 14 in my toshiba c640-x4010 laptop....I have decided to install fedora 13 and then update it to automatically reach upto version 14 and hence in dis way i may get what i wanted.....

But m really very sorry to say that i may not do that because when i installed fedora 13 i386 and found a huge problem and that is... MY ETHERNET LAN PORT IS NOT WORKING". Then i gave it to the service center and they installed windows 7 in it yesterday and updated and installed all the necessary drivers.

I am sending the screenshots of my devices and the drivers from the device manager and CPUz.... Plzz do give me the download links of the screenshots above for both fedora and ubuntu....and also plzz do explain the method of installing them. I will be greatfull for ur precious help. :)

I am eagerly waiting for ur replys and without that i cant be able to complete my dream of installing fedora 14 fully working in my lappi....
So plzzz dont forget to explain me anything in details as i m a noob in linux.

And i
1 more thing i forgot to tell u...plzz do also give me a complete solution for my display adapters that intel HD graphics drivers...so that i can also easily play 1080p movies/videos in KDE/Gnome very smoothly...
Thanks in advance.. :D
