View Full Version : LXDE and font adjustments (subpixel etc)?

I've started to quite enjoy and admire LXDE, which I added to a Gnome 3 installation of Fedora 15. The fonts look great, because of the extras I added having learnt about them here (forgotten the name of them, but some third party rpm's that perfect the font rendering).

I tried a live cd of the LXDE version of Fedora 15 tonight and there is no facility to adjust fonts as standard - can any package be added? I'm sure I've tried at least one LXDE desktop where I could set hinting and subpixel stuff etc, possibly when I added LXDE to Ubuntu 11.04.

It does seem that so many distros and desktop environments still seem defaulted to settings suited to crt monitors (or unfussiness) when most of us have flat screens or laptops now.

Thanks.
