Its really easy to do in windows.

Download liveusb-creator.exe and install in windows.

https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/

Follow the steps and add your downloaded .iso as source, and your preformatted fat/fat32 usb stick as destination.

You may or may not use a dedicated space for other data (option is provided in the software, though I am unable to recollect the exact term for it :D ).

After you finish, Put the usb stick in usb port, and boot from usb ( You have to put usb as the first choice in boot).

Enjoy!

what help ?
where are you having the problems ?
burning to dvd or in the complex process of making a bootable usb thumb drive

have you read the "install guide" ?
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/15/html/Installation_Guide/index.html

If you use Windows you may choose Nero and choose burn CD image.
If Linux - Brasero - Burn image, or you can use k3b if you are running KDE desktop.
Then reboot and enter grub menu. Choose there to boot from CD, save changes.
After that your Fedora will boot in live mode. Play with it, get acquainted. After that you may choose in menu to install it to hard drive.

how are you mounting it ?
fedora should auto mount it .
or
are you manually mounting it ?
or
did you add a line to fstab ?
and what format is this " storage hdd" ?
ext3,ext4,Windows NTFS, Apple hfs+ ,... what ?

you might want to read the fedora documentation and the user guide
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/index.html
