How did this escape ?
GLibC i686 broken dependency to GLIB
Sorry its not the exact phrase as it from memory from 2 failed installs from the DVD.
Its a 64 bit install so why is the i686 version of GLIBC being used .
Its a fresh install not an upgrade, so the is no control which GLIBC is used. this happens on Graphical desktop and software dev options.
I'll try the live install and see if thats broken.

FC15 installed off the live CD , the updates refushed to load, but when YumEx was loaded so were the updates.
Evolution refused to migrate until updated.
