Nvidia problem

Hi,
I installed het Nvidia drivers with sh <nvidia driver> and edited my xorg.conf file to driver = nvidia. Then I started x again but I get a black screen.rebooted, and still the same. Somebody had the same problem with FC2??And how did you solve it?

The current Nvidia display drivers don't work with the kernel included with FC2. I rebooted with a rescue disk (or a FC2 install disk) and got to the rescue shell, then changed my xorg.conf (at /mnt/sysimage/etc/X11/xorg.conf) to what it was before I tried the Nvidia driver - change "nvidia" back to "nv", and reverse any other changes you made.

Now when you reboot, you should be back to using the standard "nv" driver and you can remove the Nvidia one's. Find the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-xxxx-pkgx.run file you used to install (with the x's being numbers I can't remember!), and type "NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-xxxx-pkgx.run --uninstall" to remove the Nvidia drivers.

Now you can look at recompiling your kernel to get the drivers to work, or wait until Nvidia release drivers that work with the FC2 kernel : )
