I've noticed a few people occasionally ask for help about this, I don't know if anyone else has commented on this but I'm acting in good faith and trying to be helpful when I post this link

64bit issues (http://quanta.homeip.net/pipermail/linuxr3000/2004-October/000550.html)

So, I guess until 64bit windows drivers come around wifi and 64bit linux will be a dream, a friend suggested using a wifi card that supports linux so that you don't need to use ndiswrapper, I'm going to try and see if i can afford one. Still, against all odds if you do have 64 bit linux and wifi working on it, please share your knowledge, I for one will probably give up the good fight and revert to 32bit until the issue is resolved. :(
