Lxde is a broken desktop environment for me. As soon as I logged out of xfce and booted into lxde and it was working great. I chose to install it over XFCE which was not a smart choice and It wouldn't boot at all.
So I had to Reinstall Fedora and chose KDE instead of that piece of junk LXDE.
Edit: I realized what the problem was I didn't restart the computer after I installed the desktop enviroments. SOLVED

hummmmm
I don't think boot and Lxde go together, the box should have booted long before there was any issue with Lxde
I'm not pushing it to get you to use it, but once you have your fedora Xfce up, you should be able to easily add Lxde to the DE selections in gdm/kdm/slim whatever with
#yum groupinstall lxde-desktop

I'm not using it right now but I have and IMHO it is very well done. I did notice anything broken but I am no power user, I don;t think I use 5% of this thing will do.

I am not sure what do you mean by "I chose to install it over Xfce". You don't need, however, to reinstall the operating system each time you decide to add and/or remove a desktop environment.

I meant removing xfce. Anyways I'm fine with KDE

Setup your /etc/sysconfig/desktop file.
