Hello,
I have a new hp pavilion dv6t quad. I installed fedora 15 from live media and now the boot process stops after

udevd-work[147]: 'sbin/modprobe -bv pci:v00001002d00006760sv0000103Csd00001656bc03sc00 i00' unexpected exit with status 0x0009

[ 3.456175] dracut: Starting plymouth daemon

When I booted from live media everything seemed to work fine. Gnome 3 and all. What is now different when I have installed it to hard drive?

Thanks for any help.

Adding the following to the boot options resolved the issue.

radeon.modeset=0

Same problem here with Acer 4820tg.

Solution works.

It seems (in my case) that the problem might be related to the dual-adapter machine.

@dizzio, could you advise as to how you reached the solution. It may give pointers to how to fix the bug!

TIA
