View Full Version : [SOLVED] Invisible NetworkManager icon in Xfce

Since the upgrade to Fedora 15 the Network Manager applet icon in notification area is invisible. The applet is represented by a blank space and otherwise fully functional when I click on it, it's just annoying not to be able to see the network's status at a glance.
Anyone has an idea, what may be causing this?

I don't know if it's related, but some of gnome applications, like Evince and Network Manager are not skinned according to my theme.

Do you have:

adwaita-gtk3-theme

installed?
If you run 'gnome-control-center' does it show that adwaita is the theme?

It's installed. And the icon is there when I switched to adwaita or any theme other than Clearlooks Compact I'm normally using. So I guess that's the solution. Thanks for the hint.
It's a shame though. Are there any other compact themes in Fedora's repository?

Well, the issue is that NM is using gtk3 now, so gtk2 themes don't matter to it, and adwaita is the only gtk3 theme available in the repos currently. ;(

I do hope there will be more soon...
