I have the exact same problem, and i am using the DVD version. THe usb dialog is shown for a sec and after that only the Welcome to mandrake... At the bottom the key config is shown, and nothing else works except the shutdown via strg alt del

You dont happen to have a NEC modell?

Anyways i am really pissed off , since somthing like that shouldn't happen anymore, meaning that regardless of the options (i tried all of the given ones) one can't even start the installation.

I contrast to knoppix, where everything worked right off the box, and that for a cd-based only version, i am frankly disappointed with fedora.

Oh and BTW i don't have a shuttle but rather a NEC notebook, so don't worry about the Shuttle itself may be the cause.
