I used the Fedora 15 Beta iso from http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/15-Beta.TC1/Fedora/x86_64/iso/ to make a installable usb key using the instructions from here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraLiveCD/USBHowTo#How_to_Make_a_bootable_USB_Drive_to_Insta ll_Fedora_instead_of_using_a_physical_DVD
The install will get part way through the packages and then a random package will fail with a "can not open package" error. I tried two installs but both failed (on different packages). The sha256 matched for both the file I downloaded and I also checked the sha256 of the iso file I copied to the usb key ( "Preparing the USB stick" in the wiki instructions) so I think the iso is ok.
My boot.iso is the one for Fedora 15 as obtained from here:
http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/15-Beta.TC1/Fedora/x86_64/os/images/
is there a reason why the USB bootable installation mode will not work with the beta?
