I've got a small Unofficial Fedora FAQ (http://www.fedorafaq.org/) update for you, today:
+ Updated the yum.conf
+ Updated the Italian translation link
+ Added a Romanian translation
I also changed the yum.conf on the Fedora Core 1 FAQ to point to a new Fedora Legacy yum.conf for those of you still using FC1.
A larger update is coming soon, which should be the last update before the big Fedora Core 3 update. :)
As always, let me know if you have any questions or comments! You can contact me at max -at- fedorafaq DOT org.

Hello,
How come your yum.conf also uses the Unstable and Testing repositories of Fedora Extras and Livna.org? I have personally commented these out in my version and all seems well.
Regards,
Neil. :-)

I commented them out too. For me is not a problem. Thanks for the info.

The unstable repositories in fedora.us and livna.org refer to the software itself, not the packages. This means the packages in unstable are not of lower quality then the ones in stable, the software is however less mature.
I have yet to hear about anyone having package related troubles with the software in unstable, so I can't see any trouble including them.
As for testing, I'm not really sure about the quality of the packages in testing, but when new stuff is released, especially right after a new core release, there is a lot of software which recides in testing while waiting to pass the time test and make it into the stable repository. Users want this software. An example of this software is the mplayer media player, which after the release of Core 2 spent quite a while in livna.orgs testing repository, but users still wanted to install it. As we never heard about any trouble using these "testing" packages, and not including it would surely make scream, we included it.
(I hope I haven't misused the term "We" here Max,)

Nope, not at all. That's almost exactly what I would have said. :-) This is becoming a FAQ about the FAQ. :-)

Yes, I think I'm going to move it to my own server.

Can this yum also apply to FC3?

Try it. As long as the variables are used it can on most cases.

Max, maybe you can update the ATI Radeon driver part, since FC2 rpm packages are available at Livna.org.

Hey Micha. Yeah, actually, ATI has been keeping me up to date on that. :) That is going to be the next big change to the FC2 FAQ.

Great, thanks !
I guess we can wait for the next ATI driver release, which should be compatible with Xorg 6.8.1 and FC3.
