2 gnome desktops

Ok a little confused here. I finally got f15 gnome spin installed on my laptop a Dell Vostro 1000 and on a Dell Desktop. The Desktop is running gnome 3 im sure of because of the total look. The laptop looks like gnome 2.x with a few changes but not much. Did the laptop install the fallback because of hardware? The gnome desktop on the vostro looks like the live cd.

It will install the fallback if your videocard lacks 3D capability. The fallback is supposed to be a crippled version of Gnome 2, lacking many of the features that people seem to want.
