Im running Fedora Core 2 and Id like to change the icon on my gnome panel, Im wondering if anybody knows the name of the file so that I may change it, I suspect its a png file.
Yes, the Redhat starter menu that is on the gnome panel all the way to the left that you open to get to the gnome menu items.

It is a set icon of the theme. It can only be change by changing the theme itself. You will need to log out and log in for changes to take effect.

Are you sure I couldn;t change it all by itself, I did find /usr/share/pixmaps/redhat/shadowman-something-48.png but when I renamed it and put a gif in its place it wasn't the right one.
Are you sure I can't change it somehow without changing themes?

I just changed my theme and the redhat thing stayed the same, Im pretty proficient with Linux but this png just is hiding from me.

Im using GNOME, and I tried using the Smokey Blue theme.
It didnt change anything but the openOffice icons on the panel.

Ok, let's say that you change your theme to MIST and you log out, the redhat icon will change to the gnome foot. Try it and you will see. Log out!!
