The clocks have finally been altered and the UK has now left Summer Time. So the night draws in sooner and it feels more and more like winter is coming...

When do others clocks alter?

We jumped ahead an hour this weekend as we head into summer in the land of Oz.

Days getting longer, barbee's, hot and sticky at Christmas...all that good stuff!

Hope all you folks in the northern hemisphere make it through winter ok. We don't get much snow here and after 46 years of dealing with the stuff there, that's OK with me!

If it gets too cold for ya, come down here for the winter :cool:

I didn't realize there was an hour less/more last night. My network time protocol daemon set it all up for me and my mother had set all the old fashioned clocks back an hour before I woke up.

Yeah, we all gained an hour last night. We were talking about this yesterday at work though, the bars didn't stay open an extra hour... apparently someone i work with (who will remain nameless) tried to tell the bartender one time that since the clocks went back an hour they should be able to stay an extra hour at the bar...

Argh! Now I'm even more confused! It's different at the other end of the world!

In the USA we "fell back" at 2:00 AM.

We could switch to all standard time (http://www.standardtime.com/).

Yeah, we "spring ahead" here and "Fall back" too, but Spring starts the first of September in Australia, and Fall starts March first.

We are now 16 hours ahead of Kentucky...+10 for GMT.

I don't know if I'll ever adjust :confused:

I've heard that. I think Australia can't make up it's collective mind if it really wants to be British or American.

Maybe it's a bit of both.

Still, it's not a bad place to live. ;)

I think you'll find its probably closer to the UK. It hasn't been independent for that long. Plus there are a lot of British people who have emigrated there. Its supposed to be the No. 1 place for Brits to emigrate to.
