Anybody know where I can get a gstreamer xvid plugin for FC3T3? I've tried a few on teh net, and none seem to work. I'm trying to play a xvid in Totem, I get audio, just no video :(.

It's doing the same thing with mplayer and videolan it's not just totem. I just did a frest install of fc3t2 (finally got done with a massive yum update.) what version of totem are you using?
I just installed the gstreamer plugin via apt and it is still behaving the same way with all of the players I have, I honestly think ffmpeg itself is nuked seeing as how Mplayer always works (in regards to actually seeing the video itself.) where totem would fail, and even that player does the same thing.

I'm using FCT3, Totem 0.99.19 (today's release), with today's releases of gstreamer, still no joy. Might look at a updated ffmpeg tho..
I installed the full ffmpeg package from dag & gstreamer-ffmpeg from Livna and it seems to be working now.
Now I just need to get a fixed version of the evolution connector for exchange (I have a 2k3 Exchange server, and it won't talk without a one line patch, but I can't for the life of me get it to build correctly).

I just booted into Fedora reinstalled ffmpeg and it's behaving for me now as well. I'm using 99.15 though .19 does bad things with my more exotic video files. Are you using yum for your dag repository or apt, I can't get it to behave with yum and it did last time. :(

I've actually been using up2date, so I guess you could say I'm using Apt :). So far everything is working, and I have a few 'esoteric' files as well. Some with AC3 audio, Xvid video, some with Xvid & Ogg audio, etc. I havent' thrown everything at it yet, but will try a few of the more off-the-wall combos this weekend :).
