I'm currently building a MythTV machine with Fedora 14, and I want to install an Hauppauge HVR-1600 video capture card. According to installation instructions here: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_HVR-1600 the firmware available in repositories may have a bug leading to stuttering playback, but this page is rather old. Does anyone know if the current cx18-firmware package has the updated firmware or should I build and install from source, as advocated on the page?
