Context: virtual machine created with VirtualBox

1. Kernel module crash due to a problem with ioapic - happens during every booting, whehter the ioapic feature is flagged or not (meaning allowed or not allowed) in the virtual machine set up, even in live mode and after any booting after the installation and the system's updates mentioned below.
2. Nothing wrong happened after the selinux update, despite the continued kernel crash mentioned above.
3. after yesterday's 94 updates (ran after the selinux update) being completed, I completely lost the original desktop background. Kernel crash is still ocurring.

What version of VirtualBox are you using? Is F14 32- or 64-bit?

Hi. I'm using VBox 3.2.10 and F14 32 bits, with VBox hosted by a XP Pro and an i686 pentium M "banias" (the one without PAE enabled)
