FC3T3 kernal update 2.6.9-1.639

I have had no problems with the install of test 3. I have noticed that the updates are very slow and unresponsive. The one that bothers me is when trying to update to the latest kernal. All is okay until it tries to resolve package dependencies. So far the computer has been on that screen for 18 hours. Probably a little long. When running FC3T2 the updates were fine. KMD 2.4+ with 384m ram.

Try updating yum... I had some slow responses from the yum that came with the isos...

I finally cleaned the drive and re installed FC3T3. It still took al very long time to install the new kernal. At this point I have no idea why.

I just did an update from FC2 to FC3T. I've noticed that updates are very slow as well. The download part is slow, but so is applying the downloads, ie their installation with RPM. I'm suspicious.

Yum seems to like having boatloads of mirrors this might improve its performance somewhat. My own fc install just decided to die so I have to reinstall. :(
