F14 rc2

My attempt to use both rc1 and rc2 (desktop live 64 bit) end when the first boot sequence does not run after install is complete and I reboot. The first screen is the login in and the only choice is "Other" and it will not allow root to sign in.

I thought my rc1 might be a bad burn but was so busy I did not get to work on it. Then there was rc2 and now the same problem.

Anyone else have this?

tried the rc3 live and the same......no go to set up for first boot.
the dvd install has gone perfectly for both, other than the mouse problem for rc3.

I've installed every Beta RC3 live image to do the validation testing. In each case, firstboot ran fine. Don't know why it isn't for you.

There was an issue I fixed yesterday; the 'desktop validation test' page pointed to the nightly server for live images, which is wrong. It should point to http://serverbeach1.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/14-Beta.RC3/Live/ . Make sure you're using the images from there, not the nightly image.

Used the link Adam W provided and d'loaded the 32 bit livecd then created a liveusb using a F13 computer
booted it up on my Acer Aspire One. Clicked the Install icon on the desktop and 15 minutes later I'm at the
F14betaRC3 desktop and currently installing some updates. So far so good! :)

Thanks Adam, that download worked like a charm. I tried it first on an old Dell Inspiron 1100 (i think) and there was not a problem other than the screen size / which I remember having before,,,,,now trying to remember how to get it full size with all the changes in between F11 and F14:confused:
