Good day,
I just installed Fedora 13 as a virtual machine in VMware Workstation 7.1.1. The host is a laptop running Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit. I have been able to complete all software updates except for one; kernel-PAE-2.6.34.6-54.fc13.i686. While installing this package, I receive an error message which reads:
"Transaction Check Error: installing package kernel-PAE-2.6.34.6-54.fc13.i686 needs 6MB on the /boot filesystem"
I have a pre-allocated 20 GB virtual HDD, but it would seem that Fedora cannot recognize it's geometry? When looking at the size of the disk in File System, it reads as "Unknown".
I tried using chmod as the root administrator to change the permissions of the /boot directory to read, write and execute but that didn't help.
Does anyone know of a work around for this issue?
Warm Regards,
