I need to replace the Ethernet card in my Linux box. I'm trying to figure out which cards are supported in the basic Fedora 13 release. I'm looking at the HP NC112T. Any help? Suggestions?
Thanks.

I just picked up one of these a few months ago (PCIe)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106033
http://www.intel.com/Assets/PDF/prodbrief/319831.pdf
which uses the same 82574L chipset as your HP part.
The network performance is excellent (~940Mbps out/880Mbps in measured w/ nuttcp) and the CPU loading low.
Handles full 9k jumbo packets.
Total system power didn't change (<1Watt) when I added this (and disabled a reaktek).
Unless HP botched the PCIe design (unlikely) it should perform similarly. I see HP want $69, and newegg wants $29 for an INtel version of essentially the same card. Not a plug for newegg, they are darned good IMO, but you can sometimes save a couple dollars by shopping around. I will plug Intel - their board product quality is excellent.
