disabling selinux

Can anyone tell me how to verify whether or not selinux is disabled?


I need to verify that it is disabled so that I can install Zimbra.

FYI....not using the GUI...although its installed. I have the system running on run level 3.

you can also run system-config-selinux to see a GUI tool to control and view its settings.
