Everyone please note we have the go/no-go meeting for
Alpha release tomorrow afternoon at 5pm Eastern time, so we really
*really* need as much testing as possible by then. Any help you all can
give to fill out the install and desktop matrices would be greatly
appreciated, focusing on the Alpha tests. The live images are not
available yet, but coming soon. There will be live images for all four
main desktops.

I got it late last night, or early in the AM, however, wherever you are, and it installed great. No problems with anaconda, the version of systemd is 7-1, so it ACTUALLY WORKS!!!
I like the wallpaper, but, I wouldn't run my fingers across the screen...heh.
Oh, because of dependencies, when you install, don't enable updates-testing, you can do your update after install with skip-broken.

Empathy and gedit are having problems with pointing to both gtk2 and gtk3, abrt can't find debuginfo's and gets an AVC denial even with selinux disabled. It's an alpha, and there are bugzillas filed, guess we just have to wait. Just be thankful that they included systemd-7-1, so at least there's a working desktop.

ok i didnt know there were BZ's on those 2 Aps, i remember you mentioning in thread(s) that there was a gedit problem but i didnt know that was still an issue. im just thankful it even worked to a point, only real issue i had was a EXT4 problem, an one other issue, once it got into the Desktop i got a notification saying something about it couldnt use full screen. however it did use full screen
actually i forgot to look on what Gnome version it was using cause 2.31.6 was released GTK3 free http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-announce-list/2010-August/msg00018.html

Gedit problem went away in rawhide, that was a different problem. :)
Curious about your desktop not being able to use full screen, Nvidia and nouveau possibly? Just as when I was using rawhide, I get a notification before and after login saying, "Required virtual size does not fit available size requested=(1,1) min (320,200) max (8192,8192)", but, my dual screen does set up correctly. It happens with both mesa-dri-drivers and mesa-dri-drivers-experimental. I'm assuming it's a nouveau bug, but I'm not sure what to file the bugzilla under.
Graphics: Card nVidia G92 [GeForce 9800 GT] Fedora 1.8.2 Res: 1920x1080@60.0hz, 1920x1080@60.0hz
GLX Renderer Gallium 0.4 on NV92 GLX Version 2.1 Mesa 7.8.1
BTW - I have all my partitions set as ext4 and had no problems.

I changed the install repo and now it's installing without errors. Go figure.

everyone gets the message about "Required virtual size does not fit available size requested", but it shouldn't actually cause any problems. I believe there's a bug filed already, don't have the number off the top of my head.

Thanks AdamW, I couldn't find it searching bugzilla, but I'm glad it's a known problem. I'll just wait for it to get fixed.
BTW - As I said before, except for the notifications, there are no problems.
