Please
1.
Would someone at Fedora core group add drivers for the Belkin F5D6050 USB WAP and include it as a selection in the networking menu ? this is a very popular WAP and I have tried and tried to install the "generic" drivers for the chip many times and no luck!
2.
Would you also add drivers for the Nexus-S pci DVB card (SAA7146 philips) and maybe add the Mythtv program to the selections in the programs.

If you would please do this I would give "ol Bill" the finger and delete the Windows 2000 from my hard drive !

I am a Linux newbie and have spent countless houre (many others too im sure) trying to get the above items working. and would greatly appreciate it if its not too much to ask. Fedora core would be complete in my oppinion if it would have these features added.

thanks

1) This is the FedoraForum - we have no official connection with RedHat/Fedora. You can make your requests known through RedHat's site.

2) Drivers do not magically appear out of thin air - either the manufacturer has to furnish the drivers, furnish the specs, or someone has to "hack" it (reverse engineer) to make it work. If none of those three happen, the card will not be supported. Many manufacturers don't give a rat's ... rear-end about Linux and, if they do, only offer token support - there's no money in it for them.

Nothing new will make it into Core without first beeing in fedora.us.

So if you want to add new packages to Core, start by getting them into fedora.us, see www.fedora.us
