I'm using a version of Fedora 13 LiveCD installed and I would like to know how to change the password of root user

Hello,
If you have not installed on to your hard drive any changes made is not going to take/stay.

[vigilandy]

try

$ su
# passwd


you should then get prompted for a new password, but like scott32746 said, the change won't hold after you shutdown/reboot.
