ok, i totally screw up my hard drive.

i wanted to 'mkfs.ext3 /dev/hda3', but instead, did a 'mkfs.ext3 /dev/hda'!!! i managed to 'control+c' before it was actually completed.

is it possible to recover back all my older partitions?

now, if i did a 'fdisk /dev/hda', it says 'invalid flag 0x0000 of partition 4 table will be corrected by w(rite)' whut does this means?

any ideas?

...ouch. I'm afraid you probably just hosed that drive.. if you wanted to try and get data off of it you could try some data retrieval tools but I'm afraid you might just chalk this up to a typo in root (like rm -R -f /* instead of rm -R -f ./*)

Good luck though...

theres a tool on dos called testdrive, forgot the URL, but i only managed to recover the logical partition, weird, all the primary partition arent there, nvm, all the data i wanted are in one of the logical partition.
