I have just reinstalled f13-gnome und yum upgraded gnome to 2.30, but now I have a broken system because:
gnome-settings-daemon-2.30.1-1.fc13.i686 failed to install
Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package gnome-settings-daemon-2.30.1-1.fc13.i686
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.2gLKFY: line 11: apps_gnome_settings_daemon_screensaver: command not found.
error: %pre(gnome-settings-daemon-2.30.1-1.fc13.i686) scriptlet failed, exit status 127
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping gnome-settings-daemon-2.30.1-1.fc13
Any ideas?

Try the new koji build? it's located here (http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=169021) and has the following change log:
Changelog
* Tue Apr 27 2010 Matthias Clasen <mclasen@redhat.com> 2.30.1-3
- Nobody understands macro processors...
* Tue Apr 27 2010 Matthias Clasen <mclasen@redhat.com> 2.30.1-2
- Fix a typo

Oh, it installed cleanly for me in x86_64 form. :)

My system says It has a successful install (after I click to install it) of the update to gnome-settings-daemon-2.30.1-1.fc13 i686 then immediately tells me that that update is available,, how to I fix??>

I'm not sure I understand the question. What I did was download the newest rpm from koji, then used yum to do a local update.
[gene@Mobile-PC RPM]$ sudo yum --nogpgcheck localinstall gnome-settings-daemon-2.30.1-3.fc13*
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, presto, refresh-packagekit, remove-with-leaves, show-leaves,
: verify
Setting up Local Package Process
Running "sudo yum update" afterwards doesn't show any updates available.

Well I'm a dumb newbie using the graphical interface and I got a bunch of updates this morning (About 75?) including the gnome settings daemon update,, No problems on the other updates...(except that evince no longer functions) The updater indicates a successful install,, but then recycles.. and offers the update again.. So I'm looking for a clue as to what to do,, should I just wait and hope the update process fixes itself? or do I need to remove something?

You can just wait for the new build to hit updates-testing. I'm sure it'll get pushed quickly. Or you can follow the link in my first post and download the appropriate new rpm and use the command in my previous post to install it. If you're running rawhide/alpaha/beta, it's a good idea to learn how to grab updates from koji and install them with the command line.

Thanks,, I'll hold off to wait for the "push" working with other alligators :D (& learning as fast as I can!)
