Nouveau & 3D effects gone

Is anyone else experiencing the loss of 3D effects after recent updates. Nouveau and Compiz were really getting alone great together until I tested it again last night after doing updates, now it's not functioning. During the nouveau test day last week everything was fine. I files a bug last night after the Bug Notification Icon appeared.

I have installed F13 beta today on a P4 machine with a nVidia 9500 GT card and the experimental driver and was astounded when desktop-effects worked without a hitch. The nouveau developers have done a phenomenal job of implementing it into Fedora in such a short time span.

I have updated the system to the latest packages without loss of 3D effects but realise that a breakage may be in my future but am happy at the moment. ;)

The effects are still working for me on rawhide. So if you just installed and updated and they work, I must have done something that messed it up. It's just the Desktop effects that are buggin' me, maybe my experiments with Gnome Shell have something to do with it. <sigh>

The last time I tried gnome-shell was on my netbook f13 rawhide and it didn't work but made an attempt at starting. I know that gnome-shell was not working from the start but is slowly getting there.

YaY \o/ ... After today's xorg updates I have my 3D desktop effects back with nouveau. (Compiz)
