Gday folks,

So I'm on a windows vista host environment and I'm looking to contribute to testing via a virtual machine running fedora 13.

I tried to setup the latest virtualbox but the guest additions fail to install the x driver because fedora 13 has an unsupported x server version. Theres a ticket on virtualbox about this but who knows when it will be resolved.

The resolution Im stuck at now is not workable.

So, what VM's support Fedora 13 properly? VMware and virtualbox dont AFAIK.

many thanks

As I said Im running a Vista host, and need to run Fedora 13 as a VM. AFAIK KVM wont do that.

I'm running Beta F13 on Win 7 running beta vmware 7.1 (it's an open beta) without problem.

Thanks mate but the beta vmware has the same problem as virtualbox - the x server version doesnt allow the vmware tools and the virtualbox gues additions to install the video driver. They are incompatible.

Have you tried installing the VBox guest package from rpmfusion.org in their rawhide repo? It's specifically packaged for F13 and it tracks the latest kernel.

The package is called VirtualBox-OSE-guest.
