Hi.

As it has been about 3 yrs since I last tried Fedora (now using Archlinux) I tried to give 13 beta a go.

Although glxgears does work (very slowly) 3D desktop effects in KDE is not selectable (no composite) and the few games I have tried work but at lower than mesa speed... (so i'm assuming the 3D part of nouveau is not working.

From the release notes I was expecting 3D to be working 'out the box' is this not the case?

cheers

No, you have to install the package 'mesa-dri-drivers-experimental' to enable the support. We set it up this way to make it very clear it's experimental, and to avoid the theoretical possibility that some systems could have problems with the 3D support enabled but not without it.

Thank you for the response .

I've been waiting to try out the nouveau driver for sometime (sticking with the official nvidia driver for my main arch desktop for now)
