Hello Guys,

Am Windows Os Addicted but I want to try a Linux Os so i decide to dual booting my winXP and Fedora 12. Please i want advice on how to do my partitioning and base on my system information below

HDD: 30Gb

RAM: 384

Processor: 993(x86)

I have with me The F12 LiveCD

Hello,

/boot min of 250 megs
swap 2.5 X memory sizes
/home 4g should be good, if not using it as a work space
/ ( root ) 20g should be good

just to add, the option to allocate 2.5 times your SWAP is entirely dependent on your use. for example, if you hibernate oft, you should follow the rule 2+ times your RAM size is your SWAP size. if not, you could save those few GBs and just allocate the same amount the size of your RAM.
