View Full Version : [SOLVED] Today's Update Generates Odd Desktop and Error

Rebooting for the first time after today's update does strange things. Logging off and back in does the same thing. Every folder and file in my home directory shows up on the desktop. And an error box pops up containing:
Could not display "x-nautilus-desktop:///".

Error: DBus error
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name
org.gtk.vfs.Daemon was not provided by any .service files
Please select another viewer and try again.

I haven't found anything helpful in the /var/log yet, so I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas.

Thanks,

It's gvfs
downlgrade to

$ rpm -qa gvfs\*
gvfs-fuse-1.5.3-2.fc13.i686
gvfs-smb-1.5.3-2.fc13.i686
gvfs-gphoto2-1.5.3-2.fc13.i686
gvfs-obexftp-1.5.3-2.fc13.i686
gvfs-archive-1.5.3-2.fc13.i686

Thanks SJ, I did that but had problems getting gvfs-fuse to downgrade. I finally had to undo the whole transaction, then redo it with --exclude=gvfs*. Also, I noticed that gegl needs to be excluded if you have gimp installed. It causes a broken dep.

On another note, I noticed the broken package(s) are from updates-testing. For some reason, the koji packages Leigh pointed out enable fedora and updates-testing, but not updates. I swapped updates and updates-testing as well.
