The main problem I have with current Fedora sound

With pulseaudio, I have to spend lots of time trying to find which of the nearly one dozen volume sliders is really the cause of my headphone volume being too low. When I finally find the one and get it set it works fine. So why are there so many volume knobs? There should be one on the app (say the control in amarok or the flash applet in firefox) and maybe one on the KDE toolbar but why do I have to dig into pauvcontrol and check about three more in there?

I suppose what would be nice is a pulseaudio lite

Think of her as a diva goddess, she'll want lots of sliders to make her feel more valuable, even though we like to keep things simple.
