Running lxde-i386-20100308.19.iso from a live USB flash drive with
kernel-2.6.33-0.52.rc8.git6.fc13.i686
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.16-2.20100218git2964702.fc13.i686
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.99.901-8.20100223.fc13.i686
(an updated) lxpanel-0.5.5-2.fc13.i686
plus or minus
mesa-dri-drivers-experimental-7.8-0.18.fc13.i686
on my HP s3707c Pavilion Slimline desktop with onboard Nvidia 9100 graphics. A couple of observations:
1. It works! :D
2. Running glxgears both without then with mesa-dri-drivers-experimental installed was interesting. Not only was I getting approximately 25% more fps with the mesa nouveau driver, but the system CPU usage, as measured by the lxpanel cpu usage monitor, appears to have dropped by about 20%. Fps numbers aren't yet close to those seen with the nvidia driver, it's very usable for my needs.
