1) The 'nvidia' closed binary one from NVidia for maximum performance + CUDA / OpenCL support
2) the rpmfusion one is nice in that it does about all that the closed driver (1) does but
is maintainable via the package manager (yum or packagekit). I think the rpmfusion does all the nvidia driver does but I think some CUDA/OpenCL
features are missing. These are high performance computing things you might not care about anyway.
3) the nouveau driver -- the best option if you want to be purely open source and don't care as much about maximum frame speed and features (for example, you can't suspend your machine properly with the nouveau driver but you can with options 1 or 2) also 3D stuff works better with rpmfusion or the closed driver.
4) the old "nv" driver - this is the worst option and don't use it.

The maximum performance Nvidia card would be a GTX 295 if that's what you mean. If you mean performance for the $ that's
harder to answer but it would be one of the lower end ones so you don't pay the extra amount for going for the top card.

Have a look at the nvidia thread in my signature. It covers the nvidia drivers from rpmfusion which are the best option. I would recommend the akmod version as that will remove the need to wait for updates to the kmod when there is a kernel update.
