Hi guys. My wife is running Fedora 10 on a refurb'd IBM T30 laptop. The sound almost never works, and when it does, it will only work for an hour or so, then cut out again. We've tried all the hardware buttons above the keyboard, with no luck.

Used to have Ubuntu installed; same problem.

Any leads would be awesome.

Thanks,
-Matt

I don't have a specific solution, but the thinkwiki may have some help. In F10 you may have to install ibm-acpi or thinkpad-acpi. It is installed or built in to F12 so I have no problem with sound on my t400. My t23 never had sound problems that I can remember but the thinkwiki was very helpful for other issues.
