you can either use samba, which is a bit complicated to set up, or you can use putty, or you can share a windows partition, check users may change content or however that option is called, to connect from linux use Places > Connect to Server..., then choose Windows share, enter the ip or name of the pc, and folder name, which is the name of the shared partition. hope this helps.

sorry, I can't tell more about samba, check out http://www.samba.org/ for more information like installation, how-to's and so on...
if you want to make it easy use one of the other two methods I described above.
download and install putty (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/) on your windows pc and connect to your linux machine (has an explorer-like interface).

To make it really easy . . .
just boot up a live version of Fedora on a CD iso or USB . . .
the mounted fedora live filesystem will let you move files around in the other operating systems on the hard drive -
including moving files out of the recycler (recycle bin) in windows.
Very easy to do. Save files and transfer with an extra USB pendrive in and out of Windows -
all from Fedora live file system - not even installed to hard drive.

Hello tuntnse91
The first time that you connect two PC's to share files is always the most difficult. If it doesn't work then you don't know which machine is preventing the sharing. It does get easier after that though.
It is also complicated by the fact that not all of the things you might need are installed in all Fedora installations.
You may need extra things if you installed from a CD that you wouldn't if you had installed from a DVD.
Let us know which you installed from and if you are using KDE or Gnome as your desktop.

Hello tuntnse91

Well, If you do go ahead and set-up a LAN anyway,
you can just either use the snort utility ( yum install snort) or the tcpdump utility -
to know exactly what is happening on the LAN and do any troubleshooting.
These utilities especially, but also the many other networking tools in linux , will effortlessly show which packets are doing what, going where, or getting blocked in which direction whathaveyou.
Good luck.
