I recently installed Omega 12 and I'm very impressed. :)
Most of the headaches I've had with Fedora 10, 11 & 12 are gone!
But what's with the hotdog logo?

If you mean the logo that is shown during startup, my understanding is that this is used for Fedora Spins. The LXDE Spin of F11 also used it. I guess this is kind of a branding issue, since Fedora Spins are not considered official Fedora releases.

Hi,
The Hot dog "logo" comes from generic-logos package that I used for the Omega Remix and I had used it for the LXDE Remix as well. Note that Spins *are* official releases. Remixes are not. If you want to replace it with the Fedora branding
# yum shell
install fedora-logos
remove generic-logos
run
confirm and exit the shell

After many Firefox lock-ups, following the latest version update, I downloaded and installed Omega yesterday. Works great, no more Firefox woes, and Omega seems to be a lot faster than Fedora. Boots quicker, loads pages faster, and never a crash. Also, the Firefox Bookmark fiasco disappeared when I switched.
What's the deal, Fedora? What is a remix better than the original? Why does the remix work out of the box, and Fedora does not? And finally, why doesn't the OPEN SOURCE NIVIDA drivers come bundled in Fedora like in PC Linux? Or, easy to install like in Ubuntu? Fedora is lagging behind other Linux distros on these issues, I surely hope 13 is better, ans has Nivida drivers bundled in. I love Fedora, but Fedora needs work.

Hi
Omega doesn't modify anything Fedora provides and it merely rolls in the updates and Fedora does provide the open source drivers in the repository
