hi.i recently tried to install fedora12 dvd which i burned from a dvd-iso file ...i have a intel core 2 duo processor macbook and i learned and i learned to choose te x86-64 architecture instead of i 386 type.....actually im tried lots of linux versions but neither of them got installed .i burned the disc right..no problem with disk..im familiar with ubuntu and opensuse i used them on the desktop but macbook always refuses to install a linux version.i just did what i was told..booted from the disk with the alt-option pressed and chose the dvd but i could only see the credits to peter anvin the cursor blinked and blinked and at last it said kernel couldnt be loaded.......where did i make a mistake and how can i overcome it?thanks in advance..........:)

Think you need ppc64 version:
http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/publiclist/Fedora/12/ppc64/
ppc are Macintosh flav.

Looks as if it is already one of the new Macbooks with Intel processors, so he can use the version he mentioned.
Can you give us the exact error message?

Please, take the x86_64 route, forget PPC.
