On this university computer, the boot sequence could not be changed
(in another building I actually could get into Setup and change the boot sequence for USB boot,
but that computer had no writable DVD/CD drive, so I desired a solution.)
While the boot sequence allowed my Fedora Live 11 CD iso (on DVD actually) to boot up fine,
with the sole DVD/CD R/W drive mounted and in use as the linux operating system, no burning of discs would be possible.
PLoP Linux has worked great !

I scroll down to the USB choice above,
and this university library computer boots from my USB -- circumventing the BIOS boot sequence.
Once in the USB Fedora 11, I can then unmount and eject the PLoP Linux CD,
and am free to use my USB Fedora 11 to # yum install K3b and use the drive for burning etc.
The only "semi-glitch" with PLoP Linux I notice . . .
. . . it does not let me <enter> at the splashscreen to get by the "Automatic Boot in x seconds",
it is frozen as it counts down to Automatic boot - in some of the university computers, but not all.
