Hello,

I have download the iso's for Fedora 2 and have burnt them to disk. All seems to have gone well, but I am unable to get the disks to run. I have checked that my CD is ahead of my hard drive as a boot device, but it just starts up normally when I restart my computer.

I am running Windows XP (with SP1) on my primary hard drive and want to install Fedora to my other HD.

Thanks in advance for helping me out.

Dave.

Those should boot.

I'm going to assume you were able to install XP the same way.

What's the contents of the CD you're trying to boot??

The contents of the cd that I am trying to boot with:

- SRPMS folder which containns a whole bunch of 'rpm' files
- eula text document
- RPM-GPG-KEY
- RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora
- RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-test
- TRANS.TBL
- .discinfo
- GPL
- RPM-GPG-KEY-beta
- RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-rawhide
- RPM-GPG-KEY-rawhide

I was able to install XP the same way.

One weird thing though - I was unable to open the MD5SUM file that downloaded with the iso images. I was told that this was not a problem though because when the images run off the disk there will be an option to check this before installing.

Thanks again

Dave

I think I have it sorted - I downloaded the source iso instead of the binary. It's manouvers like that that keep it interesting.

Now downloading the binaries - wish me luck!
