Hey everybody,

Linux is written in a different language then microsoft's windows with a different filesystem.
With that in mind a virus can never infect a system running a Linux os. At least this is what
i have read.

Is this true??? Do i need a antivirus programe
for my fedora 1 system? Are there programes
to recommend?

thank you in advance

There aren't any anti-virus programs available for Linux to the best ofmy knowledge. Or I sure as hell haven't used one in the 2 years I've used Linux.

http://clamav.sourceforge.net/

This is a good command line anti-virus scanner..
But trust me... you don't need one :)

ClamAV works well... at least it prevents you from passing infected files on to windows users.

There are FC2 rpms available here: http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/2/i386/RPMS.stable/
