Internet (wireless) works fine installing packages etc.

However it oddly only loads up fedoraproject.org pages?

I've a feeling this is simple. What's up?

Edit: ok more info-im running Fedora 12

also these exist but didn't work as far as i tried

Edit: SORRY went through it again.
disabling ipv6 in about:config worked

(so for newbs like me this is helpful)
1)open firefox and put about:config in the addresss bar
2)click yes on the warning
3)scroll down down down to network.dns.disableIPV6
double click and restart firefox!

I have the same problem. I posted a similar thread late in the AM's last night half asleep. I suppose I should have searched(of course)!

I'll give this a shot.

Thanks

There's a lot of this going around...
I had the same issues myself...
After much reconfiguring, manually setting, and even reinstalling fedora again from scratch... (which fixed nothing)
I finally found a solution that worked for me...
I was able to determine through countless hours of tweaking that the problem lies in NetworkManager...
After spending considerable time trying to stroke it into submission I finally just did this which has everything working fine now...
From the shell I simply entered these commands...

$ su root

# yum reinstall NetworkManager

Once it completed I immediately went to firefox and BAM...!!!
Everything is as it should be now....
