gftp needs libcrypto.so.8: cannot be found

Hi,

On F11 I very often used gftp. Now, after upgrading from F11 to F12 gftp gives the message that it needs libcrypto.so.8. When I try to install it by using yum, there's no such package available. Also, I find that I'm not the only one having this problem. Anyone an idea on how to solve this?

It sounds like your upgrade wasn't 100% successful ( you have leftovers from F11) .

@ Godel: yum reinstall didnt work out. yum remove & yum install did. Turned out to be the same with e.g. gnome-commander.

@ leigh: Seems you're right. Just got a large update (about 300 packages) and during the cleanup I noticed many F11 packages being removed.

Hi,
I have the same problem with mysql-workbench, I have Fedora 12. I know that in F12 it's libcrypto.so.10, but when I try to install it, it claims the following
# rpm -ivh mysql-workbench-oss-5.1.18a-1fc11.i386.rpm
error: Error de dependencias:
libcrypto.so.8 se necesita para mysql-workbench-oss-5.1.18-1fc11.i386
libssl.so.8 se necesita para mysql-workbench-oss-5.1.18-1fc11.i386

Here the problems I there isn't an F12 specific package!
What to do?

Actually this is exactly the problem I am having at the moment - other than it is in English and not Spanish :)

I cannot seem to find libcrypto nor libssl anywhere...
